We're beyond excited to finally introduce our newest scent: Highland Ember ~ a smoky, sophisticated blend inspired by wind-swept moors, smouldering fires, and the quiet, mysterious strength of the highlands. This one's been a while in the making, and we're celebrating in our favourite way, with a proper release party with our friends at Kent of Inglewood.

The Story Behind Highland Ember

This blend started with a feeling - and a bit of a fantasy obsession.

Lindsay, co-founder of Mammoth Beard Co., has always loved the moody, wild worlds of epic fantasy—think windswept cliffs, shadowed forests, and brooding warriors with haunted pasts. It started as a teenager with Tolkien and never really stopped. In recent years, her love of high fantasy evolved into the romantasy realm (IYKYK), and with it came an entirely new kind of inspiration:

What would your favourite morally grey MMC actually smell like?

That question sparked the creation of Highland Ember, a scent meant to feel like stepping into another world. Complex, smoky, dark, hard to put your finger on, and utterly magnetic. It's a blend that could belong to a warrior-king in a crumbling stone castle, or the quiet protector who always smells faintly of fire and forest.

It's fantasy bottled. And it's as intoxicating as the stories that inspired it.

We built Highland Ember from scratch using only pure essential oils and absolutes. No synthetics, ever. The result is a scent that's rich, evocative, and unlike anything else out there.

Scent Profile

This blend opens with a bold, smoky base built on birch tar, benzoin, and cedarwood, softened with warm hints of amber and clove bud. You'll notice a whisper of bergamot, and chamomile blooming in the heart—layered with juniper, and oakmoss for that damp-earth finish that lingers like woodsmoke on wool.

This one's for the old souls, the mystery lovers, and anyone who loves a scent that tells a story.
