It's been over a year since we launched our Super Soft Leave-In Beard Conditioner Cream, and we're so incredibly excited that you all love it as much as we do! Creating Super Soft was a labour of love that took us years of research and development to create. It was worth every minute and every headache because the end result was the absolute best water-based leave-in beard conditioner you'll use.
Okay, I know we're singing our own praises here, and that might turn you off, but we're proud, and we know that once you've used it you'll never go back. You don't need to take our word for it because it's not just us; many of our product testers told us this was the best beard care product they had ever used, and the ones that didn't use those words exactly still shared similar sentiments.
We pride ourselves on offering products that meet stringent guidelines (we're ingredient snobs if you didn't already know). From day one, we have formulated our products with the mindset of quality over quantity; it's one of the things that sets us apart. We never skimp on using the best ingredients in our products, and we choose those ingredients very carefully and intentionally. So we knew when we set out to create a water-based conditioner that we had to check some difficult boxes. And it does. It checks those boxes like Scott Stevens on Eric Lindros.
Well, for starters, Super Soft contains some of the most luxurious hair loving oils on the planet (more about that soon). But these golden oils are just a tiny part of what makes super soft so great. Its magic mainly lies in the fact that it's a water-based formula that works to HYDRATE and not just moisturize. You might think we're splitting hairs here, but there are significant differences between hydrating and moisturizing.
A hydrator helps to attract water to the hair using humectants. Humectants collect moisture from the environment and bind it to the hair. Hair that lacks hydration is dry, brittle and vulnerable to breakage.
A moisturizer is an oil-based product that locks in hydration. Hair that lacks moisture can feel dry and is easily tangled. Your hair needs hydration followed by moisture to lock that water in.
As you can see, hydration is the first and most crucial step in skin and hair care, followed by a moisturizing ingredients to lock it all in.
We know that a good leave-in conditioner isn't just water and humectants, so we weren't about to skimp on adding the highest quality moisturizing oils we could find. We chose abyssinian because it works wonders for coarse, damaged hair. Camellia seed oil because it's been used in hair care for centuries and is effective against trans-epidermal water loss. And our favourite, plum seed oil, because it's a rich and ultra-luxurious oil that is high in Vitamin e, phytosterols, oleic and linoleic acid. It sinks deep into the hair, encourages healthy hair growth, and creates a soft, silky feel.
Super Soft works to creates a softer, healthier, and more manageable beard. Many people report that their beard gets less tangled, feels smoother, and is noticeably softer to the touch. We keep this product unscented so it can be combined with any of our other Mammoth products without being an overpowering scent bomb to the senses.
If you didn't know the science behind it, you might think Super Soft is a jar of magic, but now you know that it's actually a combination of high-quality ingredients, science, and the knowledge to create the best beard care products available.

I wasn’t sure whether or not I would like this product, being wary that would be just be sticky . I have a fairly large beard and have always used mammoths beard oil .But “what the heck” I tried it and I like it very much , it leaves the beard fairly soft and it also feels thicker. Nice job Mammoth!
